Firstly good luck with the blog!
Secondly, you should do an article on how you construct your fighter rankings. I took a look and a couple of questionable names popped up in places they didn't seem they should be. For example Cung Le and Roger Huerta shouldn't be as far up as they are (or even top ten in my opinion). They've not fought for ages as they've been off on non-combat commitments meaning they'll be rusty, out of fighting shape and with the amount of time off they've had... irrelevant to the big picture. Especially with some of the great fighters we have around at the moment.
I'm a big fan of Cung Le and he dominated in his run in Strikeforce but he's not fought the same calibre as most of his top ten counterparts.
Also shouldn't you consider the fighters that span weight classes for more then one list?
Please enjoy this blog and feel free to leave any comments you want regarding Mixed Martial Arts. I certainly have my opinions regarding the MMA world (especially rankings), but I definitely want your input on all things MMA!
Hello!
My name is Richard Contreras. Let me be dead honest. I have never trained or competed in MMA. I have no in-cage/ring skills. So what! I have learned a lot about the top fighters in the world in all weight classes. This is where I will put my two cents in. My opinion rocks! Maybe you disagree? Good! I want your input. I think my rankings are pretty darn accurate.
Bottom line...this is my MMA blog. Get your own!
